Scelsi’s THREE LATIN PRAYERS on Webnoises

Cover of the first single of SOLO (Aventino Music Avant-Garde, 2025)

On September 3rd 2025, the first single from my latest album SOLO was released on all digital music platforms. Here’s a quick preview!

The first single from my latest album SOLO, published by the Italian label Aventino Music Avant-Garde, came out on September 3rd 2025. This EP, recorded by Sixto Cámara at the Auditori Josep Carreras in Vilaseca (Catalunya) last February, contains four solo works by different composers, two women and two men, three of which are world premiere recordings. The piece chosen for this single was Three Latin Prayers by Giacinto Scelsi, which I had already commented in the Repertoire section of my blog, a little bit before.

The label’s director, Claudio Scozzafava, asked me to write a different text for his blog Webnoises. He wanted another angle, one that was more personal and less technical. So, on the very day of the single release, this new commentary was also published.

So, click here to read it directly on Webnoises.

I hope you enjoy it and that it encourages you to discover the music of Giacinto Scelsi, a fascinating composer.

Women Composers

: Some time ago, I found the picture above on the twitter account of the Hartford Women Composers Fest (Connecticut, USA) and it made me think, first, about still existing gender differences in the music world as well as in our society (a fact that I find unacceptable in current times) and that programming music by women composers be normal …
